Welcome to the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Appliance Prescription Service. This is a new NHS service that is responsible for issuing prescriptions for catheter and/or trans-anal irrigation related products for people living in the areas covered by the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board. Catheter and trans-anal irrigation products include all products, accessories and associated additional products.

The Appliance Prescription Service has been set up to enhance the care that people using catheter and/or transanal irrigation products receive. Having your catheter and/or trans-anal irrigation prescriptions provided by a centralised service, run by a team of specialist nurses, means that you will be able to access the right clinical support when you need to. Your prescriptions will be authorised by our specialist nurses, who will be able to ensure that you are ordering and using the best products for your particular needs.

If you feel that you need the advice and support of a nurse at your local hospital, you will still be able to access your current urology/trans-anal irrigation nurse.
